Every year our school has traditionally collected excess Halloween candy during the week following Halloween, and this year is no different.  Please send any candy you have left-over to school.  We will be collecting it from Friday, November 1st until Tuesday, November 5th.  The candy will then be donated to Good Shepherd Street Ministry & AGAPE who work with the people in our area.

To avoid the spread of illness to other children, families and staff at Star of the Sea School and to help your child have a speedy recovery, please keep your child home from school if he/she:

  • Displays symptoms such as excessive coughing, runny nose, fever, vomiting or diarrhea
  • Has a suspected or known communicable disease (i.e. Pink eye, cold or flu, rash or other skin infections, chicken pox, gastrointestinal illnesses, head lice (until treated), etc.)

Thank you for helping to keep Star of the Sea School a safe, healthy and happy place for everyone!

Just a reminder that our school website calendar has all the fieldtrips/sports events/school activities, etc. for your perusal.

ALL SOULS DAY - November 1st
This year the school has purchased a small personalized "In Loving Memory Book" for the school, which will be used in place of the paper praying hands that we hang on the wall in the lobby.  We invite parents to record the names of those they wish us to hold in prayer during the month of November.  A prayer for the dead will be included by the book so that parents can pray with their children when they write their loved ones name down.  Children will not be invited to write in the book independently.  The book of remembrance will be brought to the Parish & placed on the altar during our mass on All Saints Day.  Parents will find the book located on the back right corner of the lobby.
